MainStreet App for Small Business (Yelp Hackathon)

I made MainStreet as a project for Yelp's 2016 online hackathon. The challenge was to utilize Yelp's API for search and/or business listings.

I designed and developed a platform for small business owners to network with each other in local and industry-specific communities. They could also claim a business and see reviews from Yelp, in addition to mentions and sentiments across other social media like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

One of the most challenging parts of the project was building a permissions management system to enable more than one user to manage a business by either requesting to join or by sending/accepting an invitation. This project really pushed me to use other API's, like SocialMention, Sendgrid, and AWS.
