Insta Addict

Snap. Edit. Filter. Post. Scroll. Double-tap. Instagram is currently one of the most popular social media platforms and my not-so-secret addiction. Not only do I love to share carefully composed and beautiful snaps from my own life, but I relish bloggers’ travel pictures and inticing rustic brunchscapes. Somedays my compulsion to check my feed and endlessly scroll through Instagram borders on obsessive. There is nothing quite like the sweet anticipation of receiving that first like on a post. This biodiagram showcases the most common themes in my Instagram posts as hashtags and is arranged chronologically. The sizes of the circles show how popular each post was, becoming larger when the photo received more likes. This visualization exhibits not only my addiction to Instagram, but the egomaniacal nature of the application.
