Cannings Purple's Purple Patch eDM template
Cannings Purple's five year old enewsletter template used to distribute it's "Purple Patch" newsletter, was in dire need of a refresh.
PROJECT GOAL:
The goal of our eDM is to establish Cannings Purple as a brand leader in the public relations space by distributing our content to contacts within our network and increasing the reach and size of the Purple Patch list.
THE PROBLEM:
Previously, content had to be uploaded manually to the newsletter after being added to the website. This double handling took a considerable amount of time and limited both the amount of content and the customisation of the content. Visually, the template was not engaging, and did not make us look like an emerging digital public relations firm.
THE SOLUTION:
The solution we devised enabled content to be ordered based on a reader's preference (Government Relations, Investor Relations or Corporate Communications), grabbed content from within our extensive WPP and Ogilvy networks, and importantly sourced content from four different RSS feeds, cutting our administration time considerably. This meant we were able to increase the amount of content we could supply.
