"Hey, I've got an amazing idea! You gotta hear this..."
Let me stop you right there. I don't care how big, life-changing, paradigm-shifting or unique your idea is. The truth is, ideas are worthless. A business plan is nothing but words on paper. Even a bank balance is just a number. Your idea will never materialize or manifest itself no matter how lucrative it is, no matter how much money you have, no matter what your focus group tells you. You have to put in the work, the blood, sweat, and tears to get it off the ground. Then you have to do it again to get it to the next level. Then again, and again, and again. Chances are the "finish line" in your mind is way further than you think. If this is discouraging you, I just saved you a lot of waisted time, effort and cash. Success is built and achieved on the consistent work you put in over a sustained period of time. Every successful person you see didn't make it overnight, no matter how their circumstances differed from yours. If you're not willing to put in the work, your ideas might as well stay in your head.
