South Dakota Postcard

This image (South Dakota) represents one in a series of postcards that I shot, designed, and produced while on sightseeing trips and vacations with family. I captured all of the photographic images and used them to create a memorable postcard design. I also use images like these along with the same techniques used here (with some variations) to teach classes in digital imaging.

Providing the content and showing the techniques, students are able to see how a set of specific rules can create unity within a series of work. Students are also encouraged to use their own artistic license to make changes in the content or composition.
