Grilled Cheese Mascot

This was the first time a client wanted me to make a grilled cheese mascot for the Hampton Roads Grilled Cheese Festival. To my surprise he sent a picture of a reference that was made by my ultimate idol in illustration - Mark Lester Jarmin. He said he wants similar but I said I can't since I am way way way far when compared to his skills in illustration. I did my best but I guess my best wasn't good enough, at least for my standards. This proved to be a very hard to make not to mention the pressure.
