Profile UI Design for Web App

This design was created for Vettify, a platform for tradespeople to show to potential customers that they are who they say they are. Their profile will display things like their qualifications, their insurance, how long they have been in business etc

Problem

This design had to capture those key points of information in a organized and succinct manner. It needed to display enough above the fold so that the user can quickly get the right feel for the tradesperson they are looking at. Additionally, there was a lot of information to condense so choosing the most relevant to the user presented a problem.

Solution

The final solution looked at three things:

1) Who are the end users

2) Who are we trying to target as the primary clientele

3) And how do we make them both happy?

Keeping these three things in mind made the decision-making process dramatically easier. When designing for a clientele that is more hands-on and may typically be less comfortable with technology, it shaped the functionality available. For example, opting against using a profile background at the top of the page because it's likely a feature that not all people will be using and ends up making their profile look worse because of it.

The final design stayed true to the brand with color selection and usage, it remained restrictive and only makes key callouts.
