Lincoln Senior Center - 12 Month Calendar

This was the project that made a big difference. My first calendar and my high school senior project was the project that people still talk about years later. The client, the Lincoln Senior Center, requested 100 copies of a 12-month calendar. They gave me one objective: to have it be revolved around the Senior Center.

The creation of the calendar was a long process. It began with taking photos of the entire senior center, gathering information about the center, and meeting with the client about what they envisioned for the calendar. My original goal for the calendar was to celebrate the senior center. After printing it over 100 times, my goal changed. My goal was to celebrate the senior center and those who occupy it every day. The seniors deserved something they would remember.

I learned much more than I thought I would from this project. After a lot of paper cuts, misprints, and paper jams, this project taught me a lot about not giving up. Persistence was the key to this project. The final product was well worth it, every step of the way. As far as inspiring future projects, all future calendars will have a lot to live up to.
