Restored and Colored ✨🎨

This project began with a fragile, nearly century-old portrait marred by deep creases, tears and surface grain—and I set out to bring it back to life. First I digitally reconstructed the torn areas by carefully matching texture and tone, removing scratches and filling missing pixels to rebuild the subject’s soft features and the delicate lace of her dress. Then, drawing on historical references and a sensitive touch, I introduced a natural color palette: warm, rosy skin tones, muted greens and golds in her blouse, and a soft, atmospheric backdrop that evokes the era. The transformation—from the sepia-stained original to a vibrant, full-color image—does more than just update the photo; it reconnects us with a personal history and immortalizes the gentle spirit of the young woman who once posed before the lens.
