Portal Data | Logo Design

Hello guys!

This is my project from a Government Office (KOMINFO) in the Bogor City - Indonesia, which is engaged in communication and informatics. The office wants to create a logo for one of the websites it develops called PORTAL DATA, which contains all general data about the city of Bogor. So, this is a screenshot of the final design.

At first, when a client came to me. They told me that they wanted an attractive and modern logo, so I started sketching the logo and you can see the picture below.

I. This sketch is a combination of the initials "Oval" which means the PORTAL shape such as a circle and the initial "D" of the word DATA.

II. Additional shapes such as key holes are intended as icons of the word "portal" itself along with a large circle as a wrapper for the logo.

III. The results of the merging of sketches I and II.

Next, the coloring process on the logo is in accordance with the client request and the addition of the Bogor city name.

After that the client asked to enter a silhouette of a deer with many colors into the logo as a mascot from the city of Bogor. Then I duplicate and mirror the picture of the deer to make it fit to be combined into the logo like the image below.

The last step to complete the logo, I enter the text of the logo name that is PORTAL DATA
