Inventory Tracking System

Inventory Tracking System (ITS) was developed at the request of Olomana School to manage inventory – primarily computer-related equipment. With a large number of users and devices in circulation, maintaining visibility over the status and location of assets had become a significant challenge. ITS streamlines this process by introducing barcode-based tracking, making it easy to log and update inventory using barcode scanners – ensuring quick, accurate, and reliable data management across the system.

From the dashboard, system operators can monitor which users are due to return their assigned inventory and respond to active equipment requests. This ensures smoother operations, better accountability, and a clear overview of inventory status at any time.

Detailed inventory information – including complete item history – is always accessible. The system also supports handling of complex user requests with ease, streamlining both inventory control and user support processes. All actual operations for each device are available based on its current state – whether it's under repair, checked out, retired, or in the process of being moved to another storage location.

Regular users – such as students and teachers – can easily manage the devices assigned to them. They can also submit requests for additional inventory or reissue items they’ve already checked out, all through a simple and intuitive interface.

All inventory-related requests are managed through an integrated messaging system. This streamlined communication channel allows users to submit inquiries, report issues, or ask for technical assistance – ensuring fast, organized support for both routine needs and unexpected situations.

All user activity and system parameters are easily managed through a centralized interface. To support a wide range of devices, the system features dynamic inventory types with customizable field configurations for each category. For technical workflows, smart import and export tools are available, enabling flexible data handling and efficient integration with other systems.

The system was designed to be fully responsive from the ground up, ensuring a smooth and natural user experience on mobile devices. Whether on a phone, tablet, or desktop, the application adapts seamlessly to support users in any environment.

No matter the screen orientation – portrait or landscape – all functions remain intuitive and easy to navigate. The interface is thoughtfully designed to ensure accessibility and usability for every user.
