Online Gymnasium - E-learning platform
Started in Q2 2022, this project was focused on building a structured, flexible e-learning interface designed to support diverse user journeys. The design emphasizes clarity, modular logic, and seamless interaction across devices and contexts.
Upon commencing the Online Gymnasium redesign, we faced a fragmented Figma asset base: inconsistent colour styles, redundant button variants, and duplicated layouts. This lack of cohesion impeded delivery velocity and jeopardised scalability just as the roadmap introduced additional features and user roles. Our objective was to establish a reliable, modular design system and extend it so future user journeys could be integrated without adding complexity.
Post‑launch metrics confirmed the redesign’s impact on both sentiment and efficiency. Happiness shot up: student NPS jumped from +9 to +28, the in‑product CSAT on the homework page rose 22 %, and “confusing UI” tickets in support fell by more than half. Task Success followed suit—92 % of students now complete the homework‑upload flow (up from 78 %), median time has dropped from 95 s to 60 s, and validation/server errors are down 71 %. Together these numbers show the interface now feels better and gets work done faster.
We conducted a comprehensive design audit and converted disparate style definitions into design tokens, cutting the design system’s footprint almost by half. The existing UI‑kit was reworked on an 8‑point grid within an Atomic Design hierarchy. In parallel, we iterated on roughly 70 % of the existing sections — more than 160 screens across six user roles — adding new capabilities and responsive states to meet the product’s expanding needs.
Reworking Online Gymnasium meant revisiting every pixel and process — from design tokens to real‑world classroom impact. Proud of what the team achieved and the metrics that prove it. Thanks for watching — your feedback is always welcome!
