This piece took me forever to finish — the lighting and mood were tricky, and I had no clue where it was going at first. I was aiming for something mystical and a bit haunting… hope it landed that way! I paint digitally but use an oil painting-ish technique: big messy shapes first (you can spot that in one of the pics), then I slowly build up the light and shadow on top.
