Jamming
Jamming app
UX Case Study for the Jamming app – an app designed to connect musicians, bands and venues on a local level.
A quick market study revealed musicians often have troubles finding other competent musicians to join their bands on a local level.
Connections happen locally, usually during events such as small gigs. Word of mouth and information scattered over social medias and a website here and there – and a small dash of magic and luck – brings musicians together and, luckily, they’ll perhaps be a good fit, form a band, make some music and succeed.
That’s where Jamming comes in.
Gathering all parts in one app.
Jamming connects musicians to other musicians - but also patrons, venues, producers and supporters.
To do so, it features a dedicated profile for musicians, another for venues, for producers and patrons, and another for supporters.
It allows musicians to set up a complete profile with their instruments of choice and their expertise and then to search and connect to other musicians alike, send and receive messages, schedule meetings, rehearsals and other gigs, join their band's online profile, and much more. It allows them to connect to venues with set up gigs quickly and efficiently, and then advertise them to their supporters and followers.
Take a sneak peak at part of the Information Architecture:
Built circularly, it provides a simple user flow, perfect for musicians - people usually on the go, with little time to be on their phones. After setting up their profile, the Home screen and the + button allow them to perform all the scheduling and messaging tasks in the blink of an eye.
Designed for Light and Dark modes
