Internal Tools for Hardware System Monitoring and Management

I worked on internal tools for a tech company that builds complex hardware systems. The operations team needed a better way to monitor and manage these systems out in the field—they didn’t have a clear view of each unit’s status or history. Meanwhile, the technical team needed tools for real-time diagnostics and for understanding what went wrong during tests.

To support both teams, I helped design web applications that made it easy for operations to view unit details and activity, and for the technical team to monitor performance and replay test sessions. As the Visualization Designer, my main focus was expanding the existing design system and building a library of reusable components. That was key to creating a consistent and efficient user experience as the suite of tools continued to grow. Ultimately, these tools helped both teams work more efficiently and effectively.
