I accidentally built an online toolbox during my Easter holiday downtime. 🐣
What started a while back as a local dev tool just for my own use kind of grew into a full little web app —so I decided to polish it and share it with everyone else who might benefit from it.
In a nutshell, it’s a collection of small, useful, no-nonsense browser tools for designers, developers, and other pixel people. Everything runs client-side (no uploads, no tracking), and it’s totally free — no signups, no ads, no nothing.
Here’s what’s available so far:
✅ Image Compressor with batch support
✅ PDF Compressor that can reduce a PDF by 90%+
✅ HEIC Converter for those sneaky iPhone photos
✅ PDF-to-Images Converter for separate JPGs
✅ WebP Converter to shrink and modernize your images
✅ Color Range Generator for automatic tints and shades
✅ Color Tester to preview colors in different contexts
✅ Contrast Checker using the WCAG standard
✅ Mesh Gradient Generator. If you hate your battery
✅ Placeholder Text Generator with smarter “language”
✅ Favicon Generator with instant preview
✅ QR Code Generator that outputs crisp SVGs
✅ Loader Maker with a TON of customizations
✅ A small snippets library with shell commands etc.
Tech-wise, it’s built in React/Next.js with an approx. 50/50 split between my own coding, and AI coding. It’s still a bit rough around the edges — it’s a side project, after all — so if you have any feedback or suggestions, I’d love to hear it ✌️
I’ve called it TonniTools, and it’s now live and free for all at → www.tonnitools.com
