Local Cab Logo
I designed the Kali Peeli logo for a college competition centered around the theme of "local cab services." My aim was to capture the spirit and cultural identity of Mumbai’s iconic yellow-and-black taxis, fondly known as Kali Peeli. To reflect local roots, I used Hindi typography as a core element, emphasizing the vernacular essence of the service. At the heart of the logo, I integrated the taxi’s wheels, symbolizing motion and reliability. The top portion features a semicircular shape reminiscent of the distinctive rooftop signboards found on these taxis—immediately linking the design to its real-world counterpart.
The vibrant yellow color scheme not only makes the logo visually striking but also reinforces its connection to the taxi service, as yellow is universally recognized in that context.
Overall, the logo blends cultural relevance with strong visual identity, effectively representing the essence of local taxi services.
