TOA - Cover Design
Project Description
I designed the cover for the single "TOA" by Guadamúz, in collaboration with Gio 23, RORO, and $gonza. This artwork captures the vibrant and nocturnal essence of urban music, blending a futuristic aesthetic with a sensual and high-impact visual style.
Concept & Style
The cover aims to reflect the energy of the music through the following elements:Vibrant colors:
Warm and neon tones that evoke nightlife and luxury.
Silhouettes and blurred effects: Creating a sense of mystery and movement.
Gothic typography: I used the Portcullion font by Paul Lloyd, sourced from Dafont, to reinforce the - urban and bold style of the single.
Vintage textures and details: Inspired by iconic 90s and 2000s album covers with a contemporary twist.
Design Process
Visual research: Studied references from iconic urban and trap album covers.
Sketching & composition: Experimented with element placement to achieve a balanced composition.
Digital creation: Used Figma for composition, visual effects, and typography application.
Refinement: Final adjustments on color, contrast, and application of the "Parental Advisory" label.
Tools Used
Figma (Composition, editing, and visual effects)
Dafont (Typography selection)
Procreate (vector illustrations)
Final Outcome
The final design achieves a fusion of retro and modern aesthetics, delivering a bold and striking visual that represents the atmosphere of the single.
