Remote Patient Monitoring SaaS Application

Overview

We partnered with a U.S.-based remote care platform to design a comprehensive application for remote patient monitoring (RPM). The platform helps healthcare professionals—including nurses and clinicians—track patients’ vitals, progress, and adherence in real-time, enabling faster interventions and better outcomes.

The Challenge

Remote patient monitoring involves a constant flow of clinical data: vital signs, survey results, medication adherence, alerts, and patient history. Our challenge was to present all this data in a way that’s easy to scan, prioritized, and actionable—without overwhelming the care providers.

Our Approach

We focused on data clarity, workflow prioritization, and visual hierarchy to bring simplicity to complexity.

  • Scannable, Data-Dense Dashboard

The care team dashboard is designed to surface a high volume of patient information—BP, pulse, spO₂, spirometer values, weight trends, surveys, and alerts—all within a single view. Instead of clutter, we achieved:

  • Visual hierarchy using iconography, color-coded vitals, and compact layout

  • Expandable rows to drill into details like historical vitals and device connection status

  • Smart filtering to highlight patients with high risk or low medication adherence

Visualizing Complexity, Simply

We applied principles of clarity and whitespace to make sure providers can quickly triage multiple patients. Some key UI techniques:

  • Horizontal history cards to show 5-day vitals at a glance

  • Progress indicators and emojis to make health survey completion status intuitive

  • High-contrast callouts for alerts and adherence issues

The result: a data-heavy dashboard that feels calm, scannable, and actionable.

Note: The patient-facing tablet and mobile app experience will be shared in a future showcase, highlighting how patients input vitals and track their health.

Outcome

  • Faster Clinical Response: Critical changes in patient health are visible instantly, enabling quicker action

  • Reduced Cognitive Load: Providers can monitor dozens of patients without burnout or confusion

  • Scalable Framework: The system is built for expansion into EMR integration, medication management, and telehealth workflows
