Smuga Vineyard - Label design

Smuga Vineyard

Smuga vineyard is a small, family-run winery where, for over 20 years, high-quality wines have been produced on a 0.3-hectare vineyard and aged in oak barrels. Behind every bottle lie years of tradition and passion. The owners also offer local tastings, behind-the-scenes tours of the vineyard, and consulting for those looking to start their own winemaking journey — sharing their extensive oenological experience.

The label designs draw inspiration from classic, vintage aesthetics, evoking the nostalgic character of hand-printed wine labels. Serif typefaces styled to resemble old print templates and handwritten wine names give a nod to manual craftsmanship and personal touch. The vineyard’s logo and production date, applied using a stamp, emphasize authenticity and a sense of history. The visual layer is completed by a hand-drawn grapevine illustration, styled like a pencil sketch with soft light streaks — echoing the unique landscape of the Smuga vineyard.

Today, the Dolfi and Ujalla labels not only tell their own stories but also invite discovery of the tradition and passion behind the gates of Smuga. Through consistent and authentic visual design, they proudly represent both the wines and their creators.
