Frames macOS – Metadata Tool for Film Photographers
Frames — macOS App Preview
From Datafilm to Frames
I'm excited to share a first look at the macOS companion app for Frames, a project that’s grown from a simple idea into something much more refined.
Some of you might remember Datafilm, the original version I launched a few years ago. It started as a way to take quick notes while shooting film — but over time, I realized how much more helpful it could be.
A Complete Tool for Analog Photographers
Frames is the result of that journey: a fully redesigned, privacy-friendly tool built specifically for analog photographers who want to log their shots and easily embed metadata back into their scans.
The macOS app makes the workflow even smoother:
– Import your roll
– Attach your images
– Save EXIF data in just a few clicks
Try It Out
If you’re into film photography or just curious about the project, I’d love for you to check it out:
