Building Development Company Logo

Logo design is the process of creating a visual symbol or mark that represents a brand, company, product, or service. A logo is often the first thing people notice about a brand, so it plays a key role in how the brand is perceived.

A good logo typically:

  • Represents the brand’s identity – It visually communicates the essence, values, and mission of the brand.

  • Is simple and memorable – Easy to recognize and recall.

  • Is versatile – Works well in different sizes and on various platforms (websites, products, packaging, etc.).

  • Is timeless – Doesn’t rely heavily on trends that might quickly become outdated.

  • Is appropriate – Matches the tone and style of the brand it represents (e.g., playful vs. professional).

Types of logos include:

  1. Wordmarks – Just the brand’s name in a stylized typeface (e.g., Google, Coca-Cola).

  2. Letter marks – Initials of the brand (e.g., IBM, CNN).

  3. Pictorial marks – A symbol or icon (e.g., Apple’s apple, Twitter’s bird).

  4. Abstract logos – Geometric forms or symbols that don’t represent anything literal (e.g., Pepsi).

  5. Mascots – Illustrated characters representing the brand (e.g., KFC’s Colonel Sanders).

  6. Combination marks – Text and symbol combined (e.g., Adidas, Burger King).

  7. Emblems – Text inside a symbol or icon, often with a traditional or official look (e.g., Starbucks, Harley-Davidson).
