Discipline Animation Task & Concept

From Observation to Animation 🎬

In my free time, I tried to replicate a motion design I saw, frame by frame fully by hand.

This animation is a simple task I worked on as part of a Motion and Interaction Design Bootcamp...

I wanted to take what I’ve been learning and turn it into something real something I can actually feel, build, and control with my own hands.

And it got me thinking that thoughtful animation isn’t just visual polish, but It helps users understand what’s happening, improves usability, and builds emotional connection.

Because motion and interaction design is not just about screens, buttons, or colors, It’s about showing system feedback, guiding attention, and making digital moments feel alive.

And through this exercise on this task, I learnt and focused on some advanced animation principles and physics, like elements weights, timing, and easing, and more just to make the movement feel realistic and natural.

I realized how even the tiniest movement or interaction can make a big difference in the overall user experience.

Created the animation concept frame by frame in After Effects, aiming to deliver visual storytelling that aligns with the company's core vision and goals.

As a follow-up step, I translated the animation concept I recreated in After Effects into a Figma -based hero section, designed by me for an AI-focused website, just to explore how the motion idea could be integrated into a real product layout.
