Interactive Flashlight - Rive
🔦 Flashlight in Rive
Flashlight UI that reacts to touch, turns on/off with a tap, and feels alive - and it’s only 19.5kb!
Rive vs LottieFiles - What’s the difference? 🤔
✅ Dynamic data integration. Rive animations will soon respond to real-time data, it allows graphics to reflect live data, making almost everything in a Rive graphic dynamically updatable at runtime, such as color, size, text, images, lists, and components.
✅ State Machines. Designers can add real-time logic (hover, toggle, drag, etc.) directly in the Rive editor. No Lottie, no After Effects, no Bodymovin.
✅ Design = Runtime. What you build is what runs. No more back-and-forth between tools and dev previews.
✅ Lightweight + Fast My flashlight UI? Just 19.5kb. Fully interactive. In Lottie? Probably a few mb due to the use of raster files.
🛠 Whether you’re building microinteractions, character animations, or full-blown animated stuff, Rive is unlocking a new era for motion designers.I’d love to hear from other designers and devs, have you tried Rive? 👋
