CHILD MAP – Safe Navigation for Kids

Overview

Child Map is a child-focused navigation app designed to ensure safe travel routes for kids going home alone. It enables children to select their mode of travel (walking, cycling, skating), view guided AR paths, and notify their parents of their location. The app also allows rating the route upon arrival, creating a feedback loop for safety and convenience.

Screen Breakdown

  • Screen 1 – Travel Mode Selection Children can choose how they’re traveling (walking, cycling, or skating). A large, glowing button activates the “Go Home” navigation feature.

  • Screen 2 – AR Navigation Augmented Reality overlays a guided path on the live camera feed to assist the child in safely navigating their way. Real-time distance, route info, and turn alerts are shown.

  • Screen 3 – Arrival & Feedback Upon arrival, the app congratulates the child and prompts them to rate the route based on safety and speed.
