Skill Mapping Exploration

This is a slide created for a presentation about our company, which we showed at a design conference.

While working on the deck, we had the idea to introduce ourselves in a bit of an unusual way; one that could actually showcase our abilities, instead of just informing about them. The way: using charts 📈 to show some facts about our team members!

We came up with various options, exploring different types of charts and color schemes. In the end, we decided to go with the ‘pixelated’ bar graphs, which turned out to fit best with our new branding, and actually became quite a prominent element of it.

This was a small, but compelling side project that really allowed us to learn new things about each other.

It’s also still fascinating to see how the different visualizations work – for example, the most colorful one (using Voronoi treemap charts), while eye-catching, doesn’t make the differences between our team members clear enough. And that’s precisely what we wanted to highlight – how we’re all different people that bring distinct qualities to the table.
