NJAIS Rebranding Logo Design

Project Overview

The New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting independent schools across New Jersey. With a legacy dating back to 1958, NJAIS provides accreditation, professional development, advocacy, and networking opportunities for private K-12 schools. Under new leadership in 2024, NJAIS embarked on a brand modernization journey to better reflect its mission, values, and forward-thinking approach.

Design Approach

This project work for UL-UX studio. The goal of this rebrand was to create a modern, minimalist, and elegant visual identity that represents NJAIS’s core values: guidance, excellence, and direction. The new logo needed to incorporate a focal point icon—such as a compass or North Star—to symbolize leadership and educational direction. Additionally, the logo had to be adaptable, allowing for modifications should NJAIS expand or merge with other state associations in the future

Outcome

This rebrand elevates NJAIS’s identity with a timeless yet modern design, distinguishing it from competitors while staying true to its mission. The versatile logo system ensures adaptability for future growth, reinforcing NJAIS as a trusted guide for independent schools in New Jersey.
