Chat App - Two Pages of Sketches

I made these two pages of logo sketches for a client with a chat app. The second page of sketches is based on the feedback onn the first page. I always work closely with my clients during the logo design process to incorporate their briefing, ideas, and feedback. For me this has always yielded the best results.

All of my logo designs start on paper. I need that time to brainstorm, explore, and really think about the project. By starting on paper and not in Adobe Illustrator I force myself to discover as many different directions as possible. This really helps in coming up with something that's not too obvious.

Usually clients hire me for a full logo design process, but at times it makes sense for their project to get me on board for the sketching phase first.
