Oducation – Interactive Learning Platform with 1-on-1 Video Chat
Oducation is a hybrid (online and offline) learning platform that connects high school students with tutors across Indonesia through 1-on-1 video chat, inspired by the concept of OmeTV. It is designed to provide a more personalized, interactive, and interest-driven learning experience.
Problem Background
Based on a survey conducted among high school students, several key issues were identified:
Lack of Personal Interest Discovery: Students feel that school material is too constrained by the national curriculum, making it hard to explore their personal interests.
Limited Student-Teacher Interaction: Minimal engagement between students and teachers often results in disinterest and poor understanding of the subject matter.
Outdated Content: The learning material often fails to keep up with modern trends and relevancy.
Burnout from Online Learning: The pandemic has worsened students' boredom with standard online learning platforms.
Design Solution
Oducation aims to solve these problems by
Offering 1-on-1 live video chat sessions with mentors for more intimate and engaging learning.
Presenting interest-based subjects such as UI/UX, business, art, programming, and more.
Allowing flexible learning paths beyond the standard school curriculum.
Including features like discussion history, mentor reviews, and real-time chat to enhance the overall experience.
Target Users
Senior High School Students (SMA)
According to multiple studies and articles, most users of popular e-learning platforms like Zenius or Ruangguru are middle and high school students. Oducation narrows its target to specifically support high school students in exploring their interests and future career directions.
My Role
UI Designer (Individual Project)
Responsible for the full visual design and user interface based on survey insights and user behavior analysis.
Designed user flow from onboarding to mentor matching, video call sessions, and feedback submission.
