Mood & Feedback Tracking – Mobile UI Concept
Purpose
This mobile interface is designed to help users reflect on their emotional state and provide contextual feedback with ease. It’s ideal for use in HR tools, mental wellness apps, or daily check-in platforms.
UX Highlights
Emotion-Driven Interaction Users begin with a simple emotional selection represented by a face icon and color-coded scale from Terrible to Perfect. This visual-first approach reduces cognitive effort and encourages honest input.
Contextual Follow-Up Once an emotion is selected, the UI dynamically reveals a second layer asking "Why?" – ensuring deeper insights while keeping the experience non-intrusive.
Progressive Disclosure Text inputs and additional tags appear only when needed, keeping the interface clean and non-overwhelming.
Optionality Maintained A clear “Skip” option allows users to proceed without pressure, respecting privacy and choice.
Step Indicator The “1/4” progress marker gives users a sense of flow and journey without feeling like a long form.
UI Design Decisions
Soft & Friendly Color Palette Vibrant gradients in the background paired with soft UI elements reflect emotional warmth and encourage interaction.
Mobile-First Layout Thumb-friendly design and readable font sizes enhance comfort and usability on smartphones.
Microinteractions Ready Button states (e.g., active/inactive “Next”) and mood ring animations can easily be brought to life for a richer experience.
Brand-Friendly Components Elements like tag buttons and emoji-style faces can be customized to match any product’s tone — from playful to corporate.
