TechWalk: Brand & Social Project

TechWalk

TechWalk is a fabulous startup meetup with a twist. The founder, Christine Ferrier, is a Marketing dynamo. I had the pleasure of working with her while we were at Demandbase. Christine has made TechWalk a great way to network in NYC, but it’s not your average downtown meet and greet. A group of like-minded tech workers connects in Central Park and goes for a walk. A TechWalk features speakers, mentors, and people to network and connect naturally at each event. It’s free to join, and TechWalk is growing, which is exciting.

I was asked to enhance TechWalk’s social branding, so I built new design templates so TechWalk’s one-gal machine could quickly create Canva creatives.

It was pretty fun to build, and I wanted to show visually how people connect in a massive city like New York. Therefore, we defined the following visual clues: connections, maps, and NYC subway transit. Yet, we kept a clean layout in the design.

After some riffing on some taglines, something naturally came up: “Networking, Naturally.”
