Equati app

Equati Is a personal finance app that helps users manage their savings by dividing money into separate pockets with specific purposes. The interface allows for manual and automatic deposits, custom fund splitting, and tracking of interest rates and transactions. The design focuses on simplicity, structure, and clarity in daily money management.

Task

The goal was to create a streamlined and intuitive finance app interface that enables users to manage and distribute their savings effortlessly. The design needed to support actions like custom fund splitting, viewing interest-based pockets, initiating deposits, and tracking transactions — all while maintaining clarity and focus.

Process

The user journey was carefully mapped out to reduce friction in common financial actions, such as depositing money or allocating funds across savings goals. The interface was designed using a modular grid system for consistency and scalability.

Typography plays a key role in emphasizing important data — balances, percentages, and interest rates — using high-contrast, modern fonts. Interactive elements like the “+” and “↓” buttons are styled boldly for clarity and ease of use.

The color palette leans on soft neutrals with subtle highlights (light green, beige, pastel blue), creating a calm and trustworthy feel. Visual blocks like cards and progress bars help organize financial products and allocation rules without clutter.

Components like the “Custom Splitter” were designed for flexibility and transparency, allowing users to easily adjust savings goals and see how their funds are distributed in real-time.

Responsiveness and accessibility were also considered, ensuring optimal usability across devices.

Result

A visually minimal and structured finance UI that gives users full control over their money. With clear navigation, quick actions, and real-time feedback, the app encourages mindful saving and goal tracking. The interface strikes a balance between power and simplicity — making advanced actions (like splitting deposits) feel intuitive.

The next step is to introduce micro-animations and contextual tooltips to further enhance user understanding and engagement.
