IDS BK - Home screen
🚪 The homescreen is your app's front door — don't make users step over junk to get inside.
At Outloud we've noticed that many apps either lack a proper homescreen or clutter it with unnecessary elements. In our design philosophy, this space should be sacred — it's what users see every time they open your app.
For the IDS BK project, our research highlighted several key insights that shaped our homescreen design approach:
✅ Users want quick route searches when needed
✅ They need immediate access to frequently purchased tickets
✅ They value visibility of regular routes to check upcoming buses
✅ After purchasing a ticket, they need clear expiration information and easy access for inspectors
These findings directly influenced the hierarchy and layout of the final homescreen.
