Mental Health App — From Heavy UX to Guided Self-Help
We had the opportunity to collaborate with a client on a full redesign of their mental health app. The original product relied on a static, lengthy questionnaire and PDF-style reports. While the core logic and content were valuable, the user experience lacked emotional connection and retention power.
Challenge
Transform a text-heavy, linear flow into an intuitive, emotionally intelligent digital experience — one that feels more like a guided therapeutic journey than a form to fill out.
Our Approach
We reimagined the entire product journey to mirror the tone and rhythm of a conversation with a personal therapist. Instead of a passive report, users now go through dynamic, task-based courses tailored to their specific emotional pain points (e.g. “I’m stuck on my ex,” “I feel socially anxious”). Each step builds on previous answers and delivers a sense of progression and care.
