Hi everyone hope you doing well, so for this week as my promise i want to sahre my exploration design, and in this case i am use Alodokter as my material.

Pleas note that this is pure only my prespektif from what i am learn so far and i am very happy if you also can give me feedback or input, also i am open for anyone that want to collaboration do some project or learning togethe ✅

Okay, so last week I met up with an old friend, and we ended up talking about mental health. He mentioned that he’s been using an online platform for consultations, and he using Halodoc! 😂

So, why did I choose Alodokter for my exploration instead? Well to see competitor halodoc, and when I tried it out, I noticed a few interesting things:

If you're new to Alodokter and decide to try the app after reading an article or seeing it in the media, the first thing you'll encounter is a pop-up asking for two permissions at once: notifications and location access.

From my perspective, Alodokter likely considers these permissions crucial because they personalize the experience helping users find doctors, medical facilities nearby, and receive real-time updates. That’s why they explain it in the sub-label of the pop-up.

I think this approach makes sense, but… hmm, what if I tweak it a bit? 🤔

One of Alodokter's features allows you to book an offline consultation with a doctor near your location. This way, you can skip the long queues and get the care you need more efficiently.

Suggestion with adding request permission notification

For me, this approach looks much better. Can you guess why?

Here are some of my thoughts:

  • Instead of immediately asking users to enable notifications or location access, why not first give them a compelling reason? Not just in plain text, but by presenting a real use case that makes sense to them.

  • Provide reassurance after users complete important actions. For example, after finishing a transaction, give them confirmation or feedback to reinforce their trust in the process. (I know we can still refine the copy to make it even better I'm working on it! T_T)

So what about you? please write it at comment, feel excited to hear it from you 😊👋
