Zombie Blood IPA
Branding I developed for a fictional line of pale ale sold as a Halloween seasonal exclusive.
Featuring entirely custom illustrations and sporting an eye-catching bold color palette, this can design was inspired by vintage pulp-horror comics and the works of artists such as Mike Mignola.
The monochromatic color scheme was chosen with future expansions in mind, allowing for different flavors and monster-mashups that would easily adopt a similar look and feel for a cohesive product line.
This was a layout I designed for advertising in print publications.
The photo was shot practically — I created an insulation foam tombstone and cut a hole out of the top of a table before covering it with dirt, allowing me to reach my arm through; using some tricky perspective, I was able to give the impression that my hand was bursting from the ground. After a few finishing touches in Photoshop, it was ready to go!
