About Strandrover:

We’re a small team with a big heart—and an even bigger passion for bringing ideas to life.

Strandrover started with a simple love for design and technology. For us, creativity isn’t just about making things look good—it’s about building experiences that feel right. Whether it’s sketching ideas on a napkin or coding an interactive website, our work is all about that sweet spot where design meets technology.

Berlin and Frankfurt might be home, but we work from anywhere. Our laptops are always open, ready to connect with creative minds from around the world. Need a bold new brand identity? A seamless user experience? A website that actually makes an impact? We’ve got you.

Mathias and Nils aren’t just the people behind Strandrover—they are Strandrover. What started as a passion turned into a way of life. After years in agencies and startups, they teamed up to create something different: a no-nonsense, hands-on approach to design and development. The motto? Keep it personal. Keep it creative. And most importantly—keep it real.

An Epic Journey

Strandrover—it’s been one hell of a ride. It all began with a simple idea between two college friends: “Come to Australia, let’s work on a project together.” That was all it took. We packed our bags, hit the road, and before we knew it, things started rolling—exciting projects, incredible people, and opportunities we never saw coming.

After years of full-throttle agency and startup life, we needed a reset. A break from Berlin’s digital hustle. So we went as far away as possible—Western Australia. Endless beaches, open roads, and, well… barely any people. It was exactly what we were looking for.

One of our first moves? Buying a rugged 1998 Land Rover Discovery. That thing carried us through the wild, no questions asked. Until we made one rookie mistake—driving onto the beach without deflating the tires. Within minutes, we were properly stuck in the soft white sand. And just like that, our trusty ride got a new name: the Strandrover.

That trip changed everything. We came back to Berlin with more than just stories—we had a vision. We built Strandrover as a design bureau that works differently. No corporate fluff, just a tight-knit network of web professionals, working on projects we actually care about. Since then, we’ve collaborated from 24 countries, with over 33 clients across industries like IT security, fintech, SaaS, IoT, e-commerce, education, and beyond.

For us, Strandrover isn’t just a company—it’s a way of working, living, and staying curious. And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Process and Collaboration:

Working together since our design university days, our collaboration is all about pure doing—no agency nonsense, no outrageous overhead, just fast, on-time, and on-target execution that’s always epic.

With over a decade of knowing each other and having worked from more than 33 countries worldwide, our teamwork is frictionless and smooth, built on trust, shared history, and a relentless drive to create. We’ve developed an intuitive way of working—anticipating each other’s next moves, streamlining processes, and cutting through complexity to deliver results that truly matter.

Whether we’re sketching ideas on a napkin in a café in Tokyo, jumping on a call from a co-working space in Lisbon, or pushing the final designs live from a cabin in the Alps, our workflow adapts to any environment. Remote work isn’t just something we do; it’s part of who we are.

Our process is simple: no unnecessary meetings, no bureaucracy—just clear communication, rapid iteration, and a shared commitment to quality. This approach allows us to stay agile, deliver impactful solutions, and make every project feel effortless for our clients.
