Packaging & Product Design

For this product, I designed the graphics that were silkscreened onto the acrylic chess boards of this product. I also designed the surrounding packaging.

In the end, there were four variations of the silkscreen graphic and two stages of samples were received, with the second having the accompanying packaging.

Design Elements

Packaging concepts were drafted in fusion and sent to the manufacturer to provide feedback on feasibility and respective samples were received later on.

Key parts of the design included signature motifs and branding, as well as a guideline for manufacturers on placement of stickers.

Each sticker represented the variant of chess board that the packaging would contain and would aid our warehousing team in the fulfilment and shipment of the product.

Further adjustments were required to be made to the feet of the board, so that it would not obstruct the silkscreen.
