Video flux logo design
Project: Video Flux Logo Design
As part of my graphic design journey and coursework under Lindsay Marsh's Graphic Design Masterclass, I designed a logo for Video Flux, a conceptual mobile app aimed at engaging a young, tech-savvy audience interested in short-form video content. The project followed a structured design process, allowing me to develop the logo from initial brainstorming to the polished, final design.
Phases of the Project:
Phase 1: Brainstorming I began by conducting research on youth-oriented video platforms, gathering inspiration, and sketching rough ideas to reflect creativity, energy, and fluidity—the core essence of Video Flux.
Phase 2: Vectorizing Concepts The strongest sketches were refined digitally using Adobe Illustrator, where I translated rough ideas into clean, scalable vector shapes.
Phase 3: Adding Details + Typography I added subtle details, adjusted spacing, and explored modern, playful typefaces to complement the design. This phase emphasized ensuring the logo remained bold, minimal, and versatile across various use cases.
Phase 4: Selecting the Final Concept After careful evaluation, I selected the most impactful concept that best represented Video Flux’s vibrant personality and dynamic nature.
Phase 5: Client Presentation I prepared a mock client presentation, showcasing logo variations to visualize how the logo would look on light and dark backgrounds.
Phase 6: Color Presentation and Final Refinement I developed a youthful and dynamic color palette with vibrant gradients to evoke motion and energy, which resonated with Video Flux’s brand.
Final Outcome: The result was a bold, fluid, and energetic logo that aligns with Video Flux’s mission of connecting with a young audience and representing dynamic, ever-changing video content. This project honed my skills in logo design, vector illustration, color theory, and brand presentation, reflecting my ability to take a concept from ideation to a polished, professional result.
