Event: Mud Masters with ALDI SPORTS

Objectives

Real-life events play an important role in the ALDI SPORTS marketing strategy. Collecting customer touchpoints, bringing the brand to life and generating leads as the basis for a loyal community is of crucial importance to ALDI SPORTS. Our involvement in the Mud Masters 2023 is an example of many entertaining events and valuable customer interaction.

Mud Masters is an obstacle course through the mud. Founded in France in 2012, there are now challenges in over 30 countries over 6, 12, 16 and 42 kilometres. After intensive analysis, we decided together with the project team: Mud Masters embodies many of the values of ALDI SPORTS - competition, teamwork and, above all, fun with exercise. The Mud Masters Challenge in Weeze 2023 expects around 20,000 participants and thus offers the opportunity to emotionally charge the ALDI SPORTS brand with a sports-loving target group in a great environment.

Presence

In addition to the diverse brand placements along and on the course, we designed an eye-catching on-site presence with two ALDI SPORTS tents. We welcomed the successful finishers right next to the finish line. At ALDI SPORTS, they can capture their victorious moment with a photo wall and photo box. There will also be a wheel of fortune where ALDI SPORTS products will be raffled off. Mascots dressed up as ‘THE bar’ will be handing out ALDI SPORTS bars for a well-earned refreshment. In preparation for the event, we organised a competition for Mud Master wildcards via owned and digital paid channels and were thus able to generate numerous leads.

Team

Leading by example: the ALDI SPORTS project team took part in the 6 km Mud Masters competition themselves. Naturally, they wore their ALDI SPORTS x Mud Master outfits with headbands, which we had previously designed with particular dedication.
