Balancing Visual & UX Design – Project Showcase for Architects

A well-designed project showcase should highlight architectural work while keeping key project details accessible.

For Thomas Alexander Architects, the layout was intentionally structured as 2/3 project imagery and 1/3 fixed description & key data, aligning with the firm’s preference for stronger hierarchy rather than full-width images.

This design approach ensures:

🔹 Striking Visual Impact – Large imagery captures the details without overwhelming the layout.

🔹 Clear Information Hierarchy – Project data remains in a consistent position for easy reference.

🔹 User-Centered Experience – A structured, predictable flow enhances readability and engagement.

By balancing aesthetic precision with UX clarity, this layout delivers on the client’s goal—a seamless way to showcase their work without distraction.
