MGC 175: Monthly Archival Post
The Middle Ground Monthly Archival Post is a new project I'll be launching and it only felt right to create an icon! Stay tuned for updates!

I used to link my newsletter here, but thanks to Dribbble's new Community Guidelines that's no longer possible. If you violate these new rules your post is liable to be essentially undiscoverable, or all together removed. Here's a summary of the most significant changes
1.) No contact details or external links allowed in profile description
2.) No links or contact details in Shot description (violators post will be made undiscoverable)
3.) The removal of visible contact details shown on user profile (unless you pay a fee to become a "Designer Advertiser")
In essence, posting your work here means removing your ability to connect yourself to the ecosystem of the internet at-large.
Regardless of why they made these changes, they're an overstep. Removing our ability to connect our account here with the rest of our work and paywalling access is in my eyes an objective turn in the wrong direction. The ability to support designers beyond the confines of this website is removed, the ability to share your larger portfolio of work is disallowed, the desire to connect your multiple accounts across the web is in Dribbble’s eyes a premium feature.
It’s been a great journey so far, but I can’t silo my work and ability to connect and share behind Dribble’s newly walled garden. To the people who read this post, I hope you’ll consider what this means for the design community, to Dribbble, I hope you consider updating these new guidelines.
