Taylor Swift lyrics + design gig? Always up for it.

Inspiration

A client came to me with a photo she took at Taylor Swift’s Miami concert, wanting to feature the lyrics that inspire her writing in a way that felt personal and visually striking.

Approach

I wanted the design to highlight the image without overwhelming it while making space for her handle and a short description. Thinking back to my Pinterest saves, I was drawn to rounded text layouts—giving the design a dynamic but balanced feel. This was before Instagram changed their layout, so I designed with the old format in mind. I also darkened the top corner to make the text pop, which I did in Canva, and used Illustrator for the rounded text. For the quotes, I put the quotation in the top right corner.

The colors were inspired by Taylor Swift’s outfit in the original concert photo, incorporating bright, bold hues that reflect the energy of her live performances. I wanted the colors to enhance the visual impact of the design while staying true to the emotional tone of each lyric. The goal was to create a striking but balanced aesthetic that complements both the text and the overall layout.
