Testimonial wall of love | Croct
👋 Hello! Let's take a quick walk through our process of creating this new website section.
🚨 Problem: The previous design focused on highlighting the testifier companies, but we were going international and only had Brazilian customers.
We are a Brazilian startup, but in 2024 we started approaching clients abroad. At that time, our customer base was 100% Brazilian. Our clients were strong and well-established brands locally, but we knew that international visitors might not recognize them as easily.
Our only testimonial section at the time looked like this:
Even though it’s pretty charming, it was designed to emphasize the brand of the company giving the testimonial. It worked really well when our focus was on the Brazilian market, but as we started targeting international visitors, we realized that displaying exclusively Brazilian brands might not convey the message we were aiming for.
💡 Solution: A testimonial layout focused on quantity
Since we didn’t yet have any strong international customers, we decided to test a different approach: a testimonial wall that focused on the number of testimonials rather than the companies themselves.
We started by looking for references, like Resend's and Clerk's. We got super excited and inspired to kick off our own tests.
As we got hands-on, the first thing we did was understand the information we had available and determine the visual priority of each piece of info.
Next, we began sketching some wireframes to test our ideas. In total, we made more than 20 options, selected our top 3 favorites, refined them to high-fidelity, and presented them to the product and marketing teams.
✨ Final result
After evaluating the options, we chose option number 2. We also made a few adjustments to the chosen design:
Added a subtitle to give more context to the testimonials.
Moved the G2 badge to be positioned below the subtitle.
Removed the button that linked to the G2 page.
We kept a single row instead of two.
After some fine-tuning, our final result was this one:

Luiz Henrique Oliveira as the UX/UI Designer

And a big shoutout to our Product and Front-end teams for bringing this section to life!
