We are proud to present the new visual identity for Monarch Dentistry. @monarchdentistryct

Founded by Dr. Elana Celliers, DMD, Owner and Head Dentist at the practice, along with a strong, knowledgable staff looking to clean the stigma and bias most dental clinics deal with:

"We are a team of women that want to change the way you think about dental care."

The design reflects this simple truth, and strong silhouette. We wanted to achieve something that quickly tells the story of Dr. Elana, her attention to detail, commanding leadership, and elegant approach to her relationships with those around her.

Primary Mark for Monarch Dentistry by Formal Elements

Started in 2022, they set out on a mission to redefine what going to the dentist is like for people of all ages and prior experiences. It doesn't have to be a scary, painful process. Exact opposite, as they put it.

When designing the identity with Dr. Elana, we stuck to our process of digging deep, getting to know her story and how she got to where she is. A lot of it starts with family. In particular, with her mom.

"The name of the practice is a tribute to my mother. She passed away when I was 17, but she gave me the strength and resilience to become a dentist. We shared a love of butterflies — creatures which are both amazingly engineered as well as beautiful."

Powerful. Inspiring. Transformative.

Core Symbolism for Monarch Dentistry by Formal Elements

The color palette was straightforward being that Monarch Butterflies are orange, and the complementary blue fits perfectly. But it's also a nod to where Dr. Elana performed her studies, at Syracuse University @syracuseu When we asked how important it was to keep that consistent, her response? "Very."
