The mobile app, Trace, offers a range of features and functionalities tailored for agricultural transactions. Companies can log in using either their own server or the appβs default servers, with secure authentication via SSO (Single Sign-On).
Key Features:Buy & Sell: Companies can purchase multiple products from farmers based on specific product types and also sell these products.
Premium Pricing: The app allows companies to set and record premium prices offered to farmers.
Smart Farmers Card: All transactions are processed using a Smart Farmers Card, which supports NFC and QR code technology. Each card has a unique ID and is assigned to an individual farmer.
Transaction Management:
A dedicated transaction list displays all buying and selling records separately.
A premium transaction list tracks premium payments given to farmers.
Farmer Management:
Farmers can be added with basic details.
A farmer list provides an overview of registered farmers.
Offline Mode: The app functions without an internet connection, automatically syncing data when reconnected.
Multilingual Support: Users can switch between different languages.
Text-to-Speech: A voice feature assists farmers with low literacy.

Project Overview
Trace is a mobile app designed to streamline agricultural transactions between companies and farmers. It supports secure authentication, buying and selling of farm products, premium pricing, farmer management, and offline transactions. The app is tailored for diverse user needs, including multilingual support and accessibility features.
Problem Statement
Many farmers, especially in rural areas, face challenges in accessing fair trade opportunities, managing transactions, and receiving premium payments. Companies also struggle with maintaining transparent transactions and ensuring seamless farmer interactions. The goal was to create an intuitive, efficient, and accessible platform that bridges this gap.
User Research & Insights

The user journey map highlights Akello AK, a stock collector from Uganda, as the primary persona.
It outlines key user goals, actions, touchpoints, emotions, pain points, and areas for improvement.

Download: Users face difficulties in locating the app; SEO and marketing improvements suggested.
Register: Login and password setup is intuitive but requires simplification.
Buy Stock & Sell: Users need an easy method to add multiple stocks and verify premium pricing.
Pay Farmers: Premium payments require verification via Smart Farmer Card (NFC/QR).
Farmer Management: Users need quick access to farmer lists, adding/editing details, and issuing cards.
Reports & Account Management: Transaction tracking and profile updates need UX enhancements.
Support: Help section improvements required for better user assistance.
