Blackwater Oaks Farm & Honey

Blackwater Oaks Farm and Honey’s new brand design has a vibe that can best be described as "cottagecore chicken fairy garden"-inspired. This custom branding package was a fun one, and my client trusted me to explore with my ideas. I initially struggled to find a font that was both delicate and substantial enough to work as a logotype, so I suggested a custom font. My client embraced the vision, and I created a unique, inky serif that seamlessly integrates with the illustration style.

The flexibility of this brand as a whole—along with its ability to branch out into its two specialties, container gardening and small-batch honey—feels natural and cohesive.

Blackwater Oaks Farm and Blackwater Oaks Honey both fall under the top umbrella brand of Blackwater Oaks. The way these two sub-brands complement each other creates a strong, unified identity that not only builds significant brand recognition but also allows each to stand on its own when needed. The balance between the two—while remaining cohesive under the Blackwater Oaks name—makes each brand easily identifiable and able to thrive individually.
