Bank Ajib - Exchange Currency Flow 💸

Continuing this self-initiated project from 2023: bank ajib ✨

One of the standout features of the bank ajib app is its ability to convert a user's existing currency into foreign currencies. While not all currencies are currently supported—since bank ajib must secure additional approvals from the central bank of the respective country—this feature is already quite helpful for users looking to acquire foreign exchange.

To perform a currency exchange, users can navigate directly to the currency comparison table widget (refer to the screenshot shared previously, quoted/rebounded below) and select the desired currency from the Homepage. From there, users will be redirected to the 'Currency Conversion' page. On this page, they can input the amount they wish to exchange, whether in local currency or foreign currency. The app will then display distinct Buying and Selling Rates based on the selected transaction type.

For the currency exchange process, utilizing a bottom sheet is ideal as it keeps users aware that they are still in the midst of the transaction. A 'Confirm Currency Exchange' sheet will appear, providing a summary of the planned action. Once users agree to the associated costs and click 'Proceed,' the currency exchange will be processed.

Note: As of 2024, Bank Indonesia has enabled QRIS (Indonesian Quick Response Code Standard) to be used in several countries, particularly in Southeast Asia. This means that for transactions with local merchants in the destination country, users can utilize the QR feature directly, and the app will convert the local currency at the applicable exchange rate in real time.
