Today I will share the results of my UI design. Today is Day 5 of the 100 days #DailyUI challenge. Today I created a user profile design app. I hope you all like it.

Why did I design it this way?🤷🏻‍♂️

According to the UX law “Aesthetic-Usability Effect” Users often perceive aesthetically appealing designs as more usable. I make the design as attractive as possible, so that users believe that this design is the best. People are more tolerant of minor usability issues when the design of a product or service is aesthetically pleasing.

Why did I pick blue violet?

I decided to use this color #664BFF because in terms of aesthetics and contrast, this color gives a relaxed impression and still helps users find their destination. In addition, there are some elements in the design that follow the UX law “Hick's Law”. I made some UI elements more prominent to give users specific guidance to help users find important information in a fairly short time.

Why is there a dark mode? Is it important? 🤔

Dark mode is quite important to me. Dark mode gives the user the option to change themes, so that it can customize the place when the user opens the application. Following the principle of “Cognitive Load Reduction”. Dark mode can reduce cognitive load, especially in low-light environments. This can increase user comfort when using apps in dark situations, such as at night, so that users do not feel overwhelmed by bright screen lighting.
