CONTRACEPTION

Illustration in engraving style as a version (for "Versiona Thyssen") of the Annunciation diptych by Jan Van Eyck displayed in the Museo Thyssen in Madrid.

The concept is the opposite of the original one which represents the angel Gabriel telling the Virgin Mary that she is pregnant (you can see the Holy Spirit as a dove about to land on her). In my version the dove is pierced by an arrow meaning there is no conception.

I also designed a lettering and the final composition is 314 × 314 mm, as if it was a vinyl album cover.
